Erika Larsen

The photographer that I really liked was Erika Larsen. I'm not sure why I do but there's just something about her pictures that just makes me want to look at more. I don't think I relate to her pictures at all because her style is cultural, up in the north or way down south in the snow with either animals, portraits, or both in each of them. She has been photographing for magazines since 2000. She was born in 1976 in america.

These pictures are fro her collection "Sami", where she spent three years with. There are 70,000 Sami, most in Norway, Sweden, Finland, and Russia. they are a very cultural group of people.

She thinks of these people as "living in two worlds, they are of the now. They are of the past."
This is my favorite one because I love how wide the shot is ,and all the elks are really small but there are many of them. most of her photos have this bright, white feel to them. Then a splash of color from the people in them.

Animal Morph

This is my picture for animal morph. It was really hard to get a picture of my cat cause it wouldn't stay still long enough. So I ended up useing a picture with her eyes closed. and it turned out decent.

Depth of field

This is my example of narrow depth of field. I like it because only the little light bulb is in focus. I made the colors weaker to bring out the brightness of the light bulb. I used portrait mode for this picture.

Shutter speed: 0.033333
Aperture: f/3.1
Focal length: 6.5 mm
ISO: 160

I picked this one for medium depth of field because the whole tree part is in focus ,but the background isn't. I also like the shadows in the background even though the aren't in focus they are still cool looking.

Shutter speed: 1/320
Aperture: f/3.1
Focal length: 6.5 mm
ISO: 80

Lastly, this is for wide depth of field. This whole picture is in focus: the branches, the snow, the pine needle, and the weeds. Out of all three, this isn't my favorite, I like the medium depth of field the most.

Shutter speed: 1/160
Aperture: f/8.0
Focal length: 6.5 mm
ISO: 80

Lighting

These are my picture for different lighting. I did different spots instead of one spot. My favorite is the one I took in the afternoon because I love all the colors and just the way it looks with the shadows.

Replace the sky

This is my photo for replace the sky. The two pictures were taken on the same day but two different places and times. I choose the landscape because it was the simplest one I had, then I picked the sky because I love how the clouds looked with the sun reflecting off of them.

Shutter speed: 1/250
Aperture: f/8.0
Focal length: 6.5 mm
ISO: 80
